About Me

Hello! My name is Sarah Finley and I am a fashion historian based in New York City. I received my B.A. in History from Kent State University in 2011 and completed coursework at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2015 for an MFA in Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice. I have been interning and working within museum settings since 2009 and fashion history settings since 2012.

My professional experience includes fashion curatorial work at The Dennison Railroad Depot Museum, docent and educational programming at The National First Ladies' Library & National Historic Site, and archival assistance at Calvin Klein. I am currently working as a Collections Management Assistant in the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

In my free time I enjoy taking pictures, singing, shopping, and tumblr.
